Real-time Time-lapse Sound Recording
For a live sound-art performance/concert about relative time I was thinking of a real-time time-lapse recording of an environment, reducing a 2 hour period to 1 second slices, cross-faded into a 2 minute (stereo) WAV. I stumbled upon Andrew Spitz' phonoLapse (sounding a bit harsh) but couldn't find a download.. Anyway, I was more into making a Max patch myself but got stuck on the x-fading of the 1 sec samples... Any helping hand out there...?
It is easy task
1 hour into 2 minutes gives 120 slices
record 1 second + crossfade length audio each 30 seconds into buffer using fadein/out
and overdub recording
