Definitely looks fishy. I tried to find out what company is behind that. And the domain name is registered to some address in the US

I couldnt find a lot. But it looks like that cycling74 is including malware. Maybe they have been hacked or sth. I strongly advice blocking this domain in your firewall. It is looking very fishy. 

Why cycling isnt even acknowledging this post I dont know. This is pretty careless. But maybe they even do it on purpose and get money for that kind of fishy business. 

So it seems that it is being used to spy on you. Defienitly block it. It is unfortunate that these days people dont give a shit about you privacy anymore. Even if you pay shittons for software you are not more than a product to them.

I found same domain in windows registry record related to native instruments software.

Seems like it is user event tracking (URET) component.

A google search suggests that is part of Native Instruments DRM or Native Access, so most likely it is because you have some NI VST3 installed that is being scanned by Max.
