The reference for umenu states that the color attribute takes four floats (rgba). However, if I send a message such as “color 0. 1. 1. 1.” to umenu I get an "extra arguments for message "color"" error. Sending a single float does not throw an error, it appears to index a color in a palette. Is there a way to set the toggle mode text On color in rgba?

after some years working with projects in Max I still don't seem to understand correctly how file dependencies are being handled and how best to set it up for different usecases. 

I have projects which contain many different sub-setups in form of patchers which I want to open separately, say, using a [umenu] or [chooser]. This works fine, however, when doing so, using the following method

; max launchbrowser file://[included patcher]

the patch in question opens without providing the absolute path but other dependencies of the project (like pattrstorage files) cannot be accessed and need to be provided with a full path. 

; max openfile [unique name] [included patcher]

The dependencies are found, however, this patch I shouldn't close if I want to reopen it later, unless I generate a pseudo-unique name every time, or, unless I set thispatcher window to 

 and provide a button to do so using the 

 command to Max. This is not very practical, besides, the [onecopy] object does not do what I hoped it would: prevent duplicates from opening using this method.

Whether I consolidate the Project (which is another hairy discussion in its own right) or not, the dependencies are never found using the first, easy method. Is there a way to achieve solid and reliable Project behaviour regarding dependencies? Obviously I cannot keep the dependencies all in the same directory ('patchers/') since the project will reorganise the files and relocate them…

Hi, I'm working on a project that involves EEG sensor, and I kinda got stuck while dealing with displaying the signal. 

Currently I am receiving a EEG signal through an arduino UNO at 115200, and the numbers range from around 200 to 500. I scaled the number to 0 ~ 100. 

My main problem is that I want to chk the serials into some plotter that arduino has. and I started chking out IMUBU and it didn't work quite well for me. 

So question in short : Is there a object that I can simply input the int and display my serial signals in real time x-axis?

I am trying to code sign an app created with Max. Using latest versions of Max. I have latest version of Xcode, and have my developers license. Always run into error messages in the terminal process. Just wondering if there are any other resources for this situation. I have seen a number of materials here, but still can't quite seem. Latest error message from terminal:

zsh: no matches found: (#the ID number from my certificate#)

Does this mean there is a problem with the certificate?

As I've gotten to fight a long time with this problem, and I've just figured out a solution, I write it here to help other people having a similar issue !

 When I build standalones for Windows of some of my patches doing video processing, it happens that they work on some machines and not on others.

Investigating this issue, I've discovered that there is a problem in Max Console saying "Error 126 loading external jit.viddll.engine" (and some other error 126 for other video externals) when I launch the standalone.

In fact, the problem is that these externals (included in Max distribution) are developed on Visual Studio and rely on some DLL (but the error 126 doesn't give this explanation).

 All you have to do is to add msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll in the same folder as your standalone.

The attached DLL are working for Max 8.1 (64 bits version). With other versions of Max, you may have to use other versions of the DLL...

PS : it would be nice that Cycling74 developers find a way to include theses files automatically on standalone build.
