Max audio to CV

Hello,

I would like to ask you about the following idea.

Is there a way to turn my MacBook audio output into two CV outputs for external analogue gear (e.g. by sending it [sig~] value)? Won't it fry my synth (eurorack-format Behringer Neutron)?

I know that laptop's socket is AC, not DC and I did some research about SE modules or DC-coupled amps, but I still wonder if with [sig~] object this could work even in a limited way( without checking it and risking my synth damage).

Thank you!

any analog AC signal can be converted to DC voltage.
Simplest using rectifying diode and capacitor / resistor,
but output voltage would defnitely be lower than needed.
And one would use cycle~ set to 100 - 200 Hz, not sig~
Output might vary from MacBook to MacBook
on 2008 MacBook pro max 0 - 2.36 v DC can be output in this simple way.

Adding electronic to increase this voltage range
would end up more complicated, than using some arduino controlled
solutions.
